Taiwan milk is so expensive!

The most interesting thing for me in Taiwan is the overwhelmingly expensive milk price.
But for this writing, I won’t go into detail about why it is. I just want to share my experience, which was so astonishing to me.
The first week of my stay in Taiwan was somehow not good because of the food prices here. Every food here seems doubly more expensive than in Thailand, but the milk price is on another level. I remember that, around that time, I was afraid of buying milk for myself, and I thought that I could find cheaper milk somewhere in Taiwan. Time flew, and I finally gave up due to self-aware calcium deficiency.
Then, I found out that most of the milk sold in Taiwan convenience stores is “fresh milk.” They are delicious, by the way, and I am finally used to the flavor and feeling of the “fresh milk.” Anyway, I found it hard to buy some UHT milk, which is usually available in convenience stores in Thailand, and I usually drank that type of milk while I was there.
2 months later, I finally made time for me to go to Carrefour, and I bought back some UHT milk. I discovered that its taste is bland, not good, and not comparable to the fresh milk I bought from Family Mart. I finally discovered that fresh milk and UHT milk have different tastes and that I had never tried fresh milk before while I was in Thailand!
I finally realized that, while I was in Thailand, I usually drank milk out of necessity. My parents made me drink milk every night before bed, wishing me to become a taller man until it finally became my habit, but I never drank milk because it was “delicious.” The only two kinds of milk in Thailand that I found to be relatively delicious are “จิตรลดา” and “ตราหมี,” which for me, are somehow creamy. Others are so-so to me. And that’s it.
TL; DR: Taiwan’s fresh milk is delicious. I had never tried fresh milk before until I came here.
